Three new Vietnamese ports available to findaport.com: Hon Giang Nghi Son and Nam Du

This port is a sub-port of Nha Trang, contains Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard, one of the biggest in the country, and Van Phong Petroleum Terminal.

Nam Du

This is a new port, currently under construction to service the Kien Luong Power Plant, projected to handle 12,000,000 tonnes of coal and 5,000,000 tonnes of other cargo at the end of Phase 1 and, on completion in 2020, 50,000,000 tonnes of coal and 12,000,000 tonnes of other cargo. Located 35 n.m. east of the port, Nam Du Deep Water Seaport is due to become operational in 2012–13.

Nghi Son

Coastal port with jetty berths in an economic zone, and currently comprises two terminals handling general cargo and dry bulk.
