Indian Port of Karaikal now amended

Karaikal is a lagoon type harbour, protected by 2×600m. crescent shaped breakwaters, extending in an easterly direction from the shore, one each north and south of approach channel.

Imported cargoes include bulk, coal, coke, timber and general cargo. Exports include construction materials, clinker, machinery and general cargo.
